Meetings with PM, President and UK High Commissioner
PRIME MINISTER IMRAN KHAN MEETS UPSIGN AND UKRI
Some of the UPSIGN team alongside UKRI’s Nicola Lowe, were given the honour to meet with Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan who gave his full support for the Workshops and the efforts of UPSIGN and UKRI. The PM was impressed at the scale of the workshops and enquired about the expertise within the delegation.

PRESIDENT'S HOUSE DINNER
All the 140 participants from the Global Delvelopment Workshops 2020 (March) as well as VIPs, were hosted at the President's House for a dinner. President Arif Alvi addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of scientific research in enabling Pakistan to work towards fulfilling the UNSDGs. This event brought extensive national media coverage to the workshops and emphasised the importance placed on UK-Pakistani cooperation at the highest levels of government.

MEETING WITH UK HIGH COMMISSIONER IN ISLAMABAD
on Thursday, 12 March 2020, three members of the UPSIGN team were invited to the British high commission to meet his excellency Christian Turner (the UK High Commissioner in Islamabad) and Mike Nithavrianakis (Deputy High Commissioner, trade director for Pakistan).
